Terms

About these terms

These terms are the agreement between you and RunMySport. By creating an account or using RunMySport, you agree to them.

RunMySport is a service that leagues, tournaments, events and meets use to run their registration, schedules, scores, stats and websites.

Accounts

You sign in with your email address. We email you a link or a code. There are no passwords.

Give us a real email address that you control. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so do not share your sign-in.

You must be 13 or older to have your own account. A player under 13 has no sign-in. A parent or guardian acts for them.

Leagues and their members

A league, tournament, event or meet (a "league" below) is run by its commissioner. The league is responsible for its site, its content, its members, its rules and its decisions. RunMySport provides the service and does not run the league.

The league is responsible for the information it enters about people, for having the right to enter it, and for following the laws that apply to it. That includes the laws on children and on collecting registration fees.

Registration fees belong to the league. The league is the merchant of record on its own Stripe account. It sets its fees and refunds, and it answers to its families for them. RunMySport is not a party to a registration payment and does not hold the money.

A league that uses RunMySport with players under 18 must turn on the minors setting and use the Parent/Guardian role.

Acceptable use

Use RunMySport only to run sports, and follow these rules.

Do not break the law, or help anyone else break it. Do not post content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful or that you have no right to post. Do not upload photos of a person that you have no permission to share.

Do not try to get into accounts, leagues or data that are not yours. Do not probe, overload or disrupt the service. Do not send spam through it. Do not copy or resell the service.

We may remove content and suspend or end access that breaks these rules.

Cancellation and your data

A league can cancel at any time from its Billing page. A cancelled league keeps full access until the end of the term it has paid for.

When a league's term ends or its renewal fails, there is a 30-day grace period with full access. After that the league is read-only, as is a tournament, event or meet once its access ends. Pages stay up and nothing is deleted.

A league's records, including results, stats and payments, are kept as historical records. A league that has not yet played a season can ask us to close it through runmysport.com/contact.

Availability

We work to keep RunMySport running, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, pause or retire a feature. Scheduled work or events outside our control may interrupt the service.

No warranties

RunMySport is provided "as is" and "as available". We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability and non-infringement. Schedules, standings, stats and eligibility checks are produced from the information a league enters. The league is responsible for checking them.

Limits on our liability

To the most the law allows, RunMySport is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data or lost registrations.

To the most the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees the league paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing here limits a liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

Termination

You may stop using RunMySport at any time. We may suspend or end an account or a league that breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or does not pay what it owes. When we do, we will tell the commissioner by email where we can.

Sections that by their nature should continue, including payment, liability and governing law, continue after termination.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. When a change matters, we will email commissioners and post the new terms here. Using RunMySport after a change means you accept it.

Governing law

The laws of the State of New York govern these terms, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New York.
